Seven dirty words.. and then some

George Carlin, one of the funniest yet thought provoking comedians of all time, died last night in Los Angeles at the age of 71.

My first exposure to them man was through the film Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure when I was a little boy. As a teenager I lost my complete faith in religion, and Mr. Carlin showed me that it was okay to look at life with a smile and a laugh.




Rufus you cunt, I'll miss ya.

A Reboot Of DC Comics Before Comic-Con?

DC Comics Senior VP and Executive Editor Dan DiDio is in major trouble. Under DiDio's leadership, fanboys are disappointed with the directions of Batman, Superman, etc. Sales of the DCU line are down more than 20% from a year ago, and DiDio has lost a big chunk of existing readers in a year while deliberately failing to reach out to new ones...

The future of comic book websites is here!

Comic book news/features website ComicBookResources.com debuted a new look to its homepage and overall web page design a few months ago. It felt like a breath of fresh Web 2.0 air. Below is a snapshot of a recent homepage featuring headlines/articles: Last Night, rival comic news/features site Newsarama.com debuted their new look, the homepage below: There's something very familiar about all this. Web 2.0 is big business nowadays, and many sites that cater to certain groups like in this case comic book fans realize that sometimes it's not enough to be just a comic book website. I'll be posting my comic thoughts in due time, true believers.
